Plot:
Bhakti, a college professor, and Rahul, a lawyer, live with Rahul’s father Aaba. After Aaba falls from a balcony, Inspector Nagargoje, who resembles Aaba in looks and age, questions Rahul. Nagargoje suspects foul play and accuses the couple of abetting suicide. Aaba later wakes from a coma but remains unconscious. Rahul reveals a past fight with Aaba during a two-day trip to Lonavala that may have sparked the incident.
Nagargoje keeps pressing, hinting that Bhakti may have tried to kill Aaba. To test him, Bhakti and Rahul’s friend Nitin stage confessions, while Rahul tries to protect Bhakti. Bhakti eventually confesses that she did attempt to kill Aaba with Nitin’s help. Rahul asks Nagargoje to drop charges, but Nagargoje wants a full confession.
Aaba later sends a note that seems like a suicide letter, but the handwriting doesn’t match. He regains consciousness and explains it was an accident. The family learns painful lessons about the strain between parents and children, and about truth and forgiveness. The film ends with Nagargoje and his son slowly reconnecting.
