Aadhityan is a 1993 Indian Tamil-language action drama directed by V. L. Bashkaraaj. It stars R. Sarathkumar as Aadhityan and Sukanya as Rasathi. The film was released on 14 January 1993 and runs about 150 minutes. It was produced by Vellore Film Associates.

Plot
Aadhityan is an orphan village blacksmith who many villagers see as rough. When a zamindar forces villagers to leave their homes, they seek shelter in Aadhityan’s village, and he helps them, leading to a clash with the zamindar. At the same time, Chinna Paandi, a Tamil teacher, is teaching Rasathi, a Telugu girl. The zamindar wants his son Vinod to marry Rasathi, while Vedachellam, who is in debt, is part of the plan. Chinna Paandi suggests that saving the village may require Aadhityan marrying Rasathi. In a drunken moment, Aadhityan ties a mangalsutra around Rasathi’s neck, and she ends up marrying him, though she does not love him.
