AS9000
AS9000 (Aerospace Basic Quality System Standard) was an international quality management standard for the aerospace industry. It was developed by the Society of Automotive Engineers and first published in 1998. Built on ISO 9000, AS9000 added 27 aerospace-specific requirements to help improve quality, prevent defects, and reduce variation and waste in the supply chain and assembly process. It is designed to fit an integrated management system and has a similar aim to Boeing's D1-9000. The latest version was Revision A in 2004, but the standard is canceled.
