The A772 was a major road in Edinburgh, Scotland, running about 3.6 miles (5.8 km). It began at the A701 in Nether Liberton and headed southeast through Gilmerton on Gilmerton Road, with a 30 mph limit. Near Gilmerton it briefly becomes Drum Street, passing The Drum, an 18th‑century country house, before returning to Gilmerton Road. About half a mile from the eastern end, it crosses the Edinburgh City Bypass (the A720) at a partial grade‑separated junction with roundabouts. It then passes a roundabout serving Dobbies Garden Centre, the Edinburgh Butterfly and Insect World, and an inn, and ends at the Gilmerton Road Roundabout where it meets the A7 and the B6392 (formerly the A68) at Melville Nurseries, between Lasswade and Dalkeith. The B6392 continues along Gilmerton Road to the River North Esk.
