The Mann Egerton Type B was a British two-seat maritime patrol seaplane from the 1910s. It was developed by Mann Egerton and Company of Norwich from the Short Type 184. In 1915, Mann Egerton was contracted to build the Short Type 184, a two-seat reconnaissance, bombing and torpedo-carrying seaplane. Using what they learned, they created an improved version with a noticeably longer upper-wing span. The Royal Naval Air Service operated all 15 Type B aircraft on patrol duties. Its first flight was in 1916.
