Jonathan Matthew Mattox (born January 1, 1988) is an American basketball coach and the head coach of the Morehead State Eagles men's basketball team. He played college basketball for the Anderson Trojans in South Carolina (2007–2009) and the Emmanuel Lions in Georgia (2009–2011).

Mattox attended Oconee County High School in Georgia, where he was a two-time second-team All-Northeast Georgia selection and helped his team win a regional championship as a senior.

Coaching career: After college, he was an assistant at Emmanuel (2011–2013). He then joined Morehead State as a graduate assistant (2013–2015), director of basketball operations (2015–2016), interim assistant (2016–2017), and full-time assistant (2017–2021). He served as associate head coach for the 2021–22 season. He spent 2022–2024 as an assistant at Murray State, and in 2024 he became the head coach of Morehead State. His head coaching record at Morehead State is 15–17.

Education: He earned a bachelor’s degree from Emmanuel College in 2011 and a master’s degree from Concordia University Irvine in 2013.
