LeJuene Thompson
LeJuene Thompson, born Frances LeJuene Hayes on May 15, 1970, in Greensboro, North Carolina, is an American gospel singer and songwriter. She performs gospel, Christian R&B, contemporary R&B, traditional black gospel, and urban gospel. Thompson began her music career in 1986, first with The Tri-City Singers, then as a solo artist. She released Soul Inspiration in 2001 with EMI Gospel, which became her breakthrough on Billboard, reaching No. 17 on the Gospel Albums chart and No. 40 on the Christian Albums chart. Her second album, Metamorphosis, came out in 2008 on LeCe Entertainment, and her third, Evolution of Me, was released in 2012 by Fontana Records; neither album charted.
She is married to Cedric Thompson, a Grammy- and Stellar Award-winning producer from Anderson, South Carolina. They live in Charlotte, North Carolina, with their three sons: Cedric Jr., Christopher, and Chandler. Thompson is the founder and CEO of Buttrfly Girls, a project she started on June 1, 2013, and she and her husband also run LeCe Entertainment.
