Internacional's 2025 season was their 115th year in existence. They competed in Brasileirão Série A, Copa do Brasil, Campeonato Gaúcho, and the Copa Libertadores, playing at Beira-Rio and led by president Alessandro Barcellos.

Management changed during the year: Roger Machado was in charge until September 21, Ramón Díaz took over from September 24 to November 29, and Abel Braga became manager from November 29 onward.

In competition results, Internacional finished 16th in the Brasileirão, won the Campeonato Gaúcho, and reached the Round of 16 in both the Copa Libertadores and the Copa do Brasil. The top scorer was Alan Patrick with 11 league goals (21 in all competitions).

The club qualified for the 2025 Libertadores group stage, with the group draw held on March 17, 2025, and the Round of 16 draw on June 2, 2025. The league fixtures were announced on February 12, 2025.
