Marv Hagedorn (born March 2, 1956) is a Republican from Idaho who has been the state’s Veterans Division administrator since July 30, 2018. He was born in Omak, Washington, and served in the U.S. Navy from 1973 to 1994. He studied at Pensacola Junior College and the University of Maryland, and lives in Meridian, Idaho.
Hagedorn served in the Idaho Legislature as a State Representative for District 20 (B) from 2007 to 2012, appointed by Governor Butch Otter. He then served as a State Senator for District 14 from 2012 to 2018.
In 2018, he ran for Idaho lieutenant governor and finished third in the Republican primary with about 15% of the vote. He announced his candidacy on Twitter on December 7, 2016, becoming the first to announce.
In September 2018, Hagedorn posted a controversial joking tweet about sexual assault allegations related to Brett Kavanaugh.
