The 2025 Los Angeles Rams season was the team’s 88th in the NFL, their 9th under head coach Sean McVay, and their home games were at SoFi Stadium. This was the first season since 2016 without longtime wide receiver Cooper Kupp, who was released in the offseason and signed by the Seattle Seahawks.

Season overview
- Record: 12–5, finished 2nd in the NFC West, and earned a playoff berth for the seventh time in McVay’s nine seasons.
- Start and trends: The Rams opened 11–4, their best start since 2018, and clinched their third consecutive winning season after a Week 12 win over the Buccaneers.
- Playoffs: They defeated the Carolina Panthers 34–31 in the Wild Card round, then beat the Chicago Bears 20–17 in overtime in the Divisional Round, before falling to the Seattle Seahawks 31–27 in the NFC Championship Game in Seattle.
- Notable OT twist: The Week 16 overtime loss to Seattle came in a game decided under new overtime rules, making the Rams the first team to lose an OT game after scoring a touchdown on the opening drive.

Key players and awards

- Other contributors: Wide receiver Davante Adams and running backs Kyren Williams and Blake Corum played major roles in the offense. Linebackers Jared Verse and Byron Young were impactful on defense, with the unit producing multiple key plays.
- Season highlights for players: Stafford delivered several standout games, including a five-TD performance in an International Series game in London against the Jaguars; Nacua posted multiple big receiving days and a strong overall showing across many contests.

Coaching and front office
- Head coach: Sean McVay (ninth season)
- General manager: Les Snead
- Offensive coordinator: Mike LaFleur
- Defensive coordinator: Chris Shula

Offseason notes and community efforts

- Mauicamp: In May 2025, the Rams announced a portion of their minicamp would be held in Wailuku, Hawaii, with activities including football clinics and charity work in Lahaina, Maui, supporting Habitat for Humanity and renovation efforts for Lahainaluna High School’s locker rooms.

Season recap

- They showed offensive firepower led by Stafford and Nacua and a defense that could make critical stops in key moments.
- Their playoff run ended in Seattle, but the season featured memorable moments, big wins, and notable contributions from a mix of veteran leaders and emerging players.
