History of Islamic Iran (Persian: تاریخ ایران اسلامی) is a four-volume book by Rasul Jafarian written in Persian. It covers Iran’s history from the arrival of Islam to the decline of the Safavid Empire. Published in 1998 in Iran, the Persian edition has four volumes with pages: 354, 384, 352, and 468. The volumes are: 1) from the origin of Islam to Islamic Iran; 2) from the Tahirid dynasty to the decline of the Khwarazmian dynasty; 3) from the Mongol conquest to the decline of the Turkoman era; 4) the Safavid dynasty from emergence to decline. Jafarian explains that his goal is to present history clearly and simply, without exaggeration. The work is used as a reference in Iranian master’s programs in history and Persian literature and has been reviewed several times.
