2021–22 AS Monaco FC season
The 2021–22 season was AS Monaco FC’s 97th year and their ninth straight in France’s top flight. They finished 13th in Ligue 1, reached the semi-finals of the Coupe de France, and competed in European football after dropping from the Champions League into the Europa League, where they reached the Round of 16. Wissam Ben Yedder was the club’s top scorer with 25 league goals (32 in all competitions). Home games were at Stade Louis II.

Season highlights
- On 18 August, Sofiane Diop extended his Monaco contract to 2026.
- On 1 January, Niko Kovač left the club; Philippe Clement was appointed on 3 January.

Transfers and squad changes
- January 2022: Vanderson joined from Grêmio on a five-year contract.
- June–August 2021: A busy transfer window with several departures and new signings. Notable arrivals included Alexander Nübel (loan from Bayern Munich), Ismail Jakobs (from 1. FC Köln), and Myron Boadu (from AZ Alkmaar).
- Throughout the summer, Monaco saw numerous players leave or go on loan, including Jorge to Palmeiras, Benjamin Lecomte to Atlético Madrid (loan), Pietro Pellegri to AC Milan (loan), Henry Onyekuru to Olympiacos (permanent), Fodé Ballo-Touré to Milan, Giulian Biancone to Troyes, Enzo Millot to VfB Stuttgart, and Willem Geubbels to Nantes (loan), among others.
- January 2022 also saw the sale of Wilson Isidor to Lokomotiv Moscow (22 January) and other squad adjustments, including loan moves.
