OpticsPlanet, Inc. is a private online retailer based in Northbrook, Illinois. It sells gear for shooting, hunting, camping, outdoor activities, military and law enforcement, as well as eyewear and laboratory equipment. Its main site is OpticsPlanet.com, along with several specialty stores.

Founders Mark Levitin and Pavel Shvartsman started in optics by distributing LOMO products in North America. They launched OpticsPlanet in 1999 to sell directly to consumers and funded the company themselves. The flagship OpticsPlanet.com launched in 2000.

The company grew quickly, reaching more than $163 million in annual revenue and about 300 employees. It was named one of the top 500 US ecommerce sites by Internet Retailer. The Chicago Tribune has named OpticsPlanet a Top Workplace in 2011, 2018, and 2019.

OpticsPlanet is known for its all-in-one kits like the Z.E.R.O. Zombie Kit, Santa Stakeout Kit, and Invisible Man Kit, which bundle many products and can cost over $24,000. Media outlets such as Business Insider, Gizmodo, and Fox News have written about these kits.

In 2014, OpticsPlanet launched Wetley GGRX, the first company to offer prescription lens inserts for Google Glass.
