2021 Peterborough City Council election — quick summary
Elections were held on 6 May 2021 to choose 23 of the council’s 60 seats. The Conservative Party remained the largest group, holding 29 seats in total after gaining 1 seat. They won 16 of the 23 seats up for election, with about 44.7% of the vote.
Labour stayed on 16 seats, winning 4 of the contested seats and about 30.6% of the vote. The Liberal Democrats won 8 seats (1 of the contested seats) with around 10.8% of the vote. The Green Party won 1 seat (total 3) with about 8.37% of the vote. UKIP did not win any seats and had about 0.5% of the vote. A small number of independents and local groups also won seats to fill the remaining places on the council.
The election happened alongside other local elections in Cambridgeshire.
