2021 New York City Borough President Elections

The elections were held on November 2, 2021. Four of the five incumbent borough presidents couldn't run again because of term limits. Queens was the only borough where the sitting president could run for another term, since Donovan Richards had won a 2020 special election there and sought a full term.

Brooklyn
- Winner: Antonio Reynoso (Democratic)
- Defeated: Menachem Raitport (Republican)
- Vote share: Reynoso about 72.8%; Raitport about 22.9%
- Note: Reynoso became Brooklyn’s borough president, succeeding Eric Adams, who left the post to become mayor.

Manhattan
- Winner: Mark Levine (Democratic)
- Defeated: Lou Puliafito (Republican)
- Vote share: Levine about 85.0%; Puliafito about 13.0%
- Note: Gale Brewer was term-limited and could not run again.

Queens
- Winner: Donovan Richards (Democratic)
- Defeated: Thomas Zmich (Republican)
- Vote share: Richards about 66.9%; Zmich about 32.9%
- Note: Richards had won a 2020 special election and was seeking a full term.

The Bronx
- Winner: Vanessa Gibson (Democratic)
- Defeated: Janelle King (Republican) and Sammy Ravelo (Conservative)
- Vote share: Gibson about 79.9%; King about 13.4%; Ravelo about 6.5%
- Note: Rubén Díaz Jr. was term-limited.

Staten Island
- Winner: Vito Fossella (Republican)
- Defeated: Mark Murphy (Democratic) and Leticia Remauro (Conservative)
- Vote share: Fossella about 60.1%; Murphy about 32.3%; Remauro about 7.5%
- Note: James Oddo was term-limited.

Overall result: Democrats won four of the five boroughs, while Staten Island remained Republican.
