2020–21 Liberty Flames basketball team
The 2020–21 Liberty Flames men's basketball team represented Liberty University in the NCAA Division I season. They played home games at Liberty Arena in Lynchburg, Virginia—their first season in the new 4,000-seat arena. Led by head coach Ritchie McKay (in his sixth season of this stint, eighth overall), the Flames competed in the ASUN Conference.
Liberty finished with a 23–6 overall record and 11–2 in ASUN play, winning the regular-season championship. They also won the ASUN tournament by defeating Kennesaw State, Stetson, and North Alabama, earning the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The Flames were defeated in the first round by Oklahoma State.
Assistant coaches were Brad Soucie, Derek Johnston, and Joe Pierre III (in his first season).
