2020 Cheddar's 300
Noah Gragson wins 2020 Cheddar’s 300 at Bristol in overtime
The 2020 Cheddar’s 300, officially Cheddar’s 300 presented by Alsco, was the seventh race of the NASCAR Xfinity Series. It took place on June 1, 2020, at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee. The 0.533-mile concrete short track produced a 303-lap race after overtime, up from the scheduled 300 laps. The event was held without fans due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Harrison Burton was awarded the pole position by a random draw. Justin Allgaier led the most laps in the race (156), but Noah Gragson of JR Motorsports took the win, his second of the season.
The race also served as the qualifier for the season’s first Dash 4 Cash race. The Dash 4 Cash offers a $100,000 bonus to eligible drivers if they win the race, with Cup Series regulars not allowed to compete. The next Dash 4 Cash race was at Atlanta on June 6.
Stage results were: Stage 1 – 85 laps; Stage 2 – 85 laps; Stage 3 – 130 laps (to reach 300), with overtime extending the total to 303 laps.
Broadcast information: FS1 carried the race in the United States. Adam Alexander and the Busch brothers, Kurt and Kyle, called the race from the Fox Sports Studio in Charlotte, with Regan Smith on pit road. The PRN radio team, also heard on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, included Doug Rice and Mark Garrow in the booth, with Rob Albright on the backstretch and pit reporters Brad Gillie, Brett McMillan, and Wendy Venturini.
