The 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy Plate Group was part of the 17th edition of the tournament, a List A cricket competition in India. Nine teams competed in the Plate Group out of 37 overall. The group played in a round-robin format from 19 September to 8 October 2018, with the top team advancing to the quarter-finals. On 20 September, the BCCI reversed its decision to allow extra outstation players after Pondicherry’s first-round match. In Round 8, Bihar defeated Sikkim by 292 runs after Sikkim were bowled out for 46, the biggest margin of victory by runs in Indian domestic cricket. In Round 11, Uttarakhand’s Karn Kaushal scored 202, the first double-century in Vijay Hazare Trophy history. Bihar topped the Plate Group and progressed to the knockout stage.
