The 2018–19 Liga Națională (women's basketball) was Romania’s 69th season of the top league. 13 teams competed, and Sepsi SIC were the defending champions. The Romanian Basketball Federation changed the format for this season: teams promoted from Liga I joined the league, and teams were relegated to Liga I. SCM Timișoara withdrew due to financial problems, and CSU Alba Iulia withdrew due to organizational problems. BC Sirius moved to the Municipality of Târgu Mureș and became CSM Târgu Mureș, while CSBT Alexandria moved to the Municipality of Alexandria and became CSM Alexandria. Playoff series were mostly best-of-five, with the third-place match played as best-of-three. Final standings: champions Sepsi SIC; runners-up Satu Mare; third place ICIM Arad; fourth Olimpia Brașov.
