2018 Virginia Cavaliers football team

The 2018 Virginia Cavaliers football team represented the University of Virginia in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS season. They were led by third-year head coach Bronco Mendenhall and played their home games at Scott Stadium. Virginia competed in the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).

The Cavaliers finished 8–5 overall and 4–4 in ACC play. They were Belk Bowl champions, defeating South Carolina 28–0.

Coaching staff included head coach Bronco Mendenhall (3rd year); offensive coordinator Robert Anae (3rd year) with a multiple offense; defensive coordinator Nick Howell (3rd year) and co-defensive coordinator Kelly Poppinga (1st season). The base defense was 3–4.

In 2017, Virginia went 6–7 (3–5 ACC) and lost the Military Bowl to Navy.

The ACC media poll was released on July 24, 2018.
