2018 Belgian Super Cup
The 2018 Belgian Super Cup was played on 22 July 2018 at the Jan Breydel Stadium in Bruges. It matched Club Brugge, the 2017–18 Belgian First Division A champions, against Standard Liège, the 2017–18 Belgian Cup winners. Club Brugge won 2–1 to claim a record 15th Super Cup. Standard Liège were in the match for the ninth time. The game was refereed by Bart Vertenten and attended by about 16,000 fans in sunny weather. Hans Vanaken of Club Brugge was named Man of the Match. The result repeated the 2016 final, when Brugge also beat Standard 2–1.
