The 2017–18 season was Olympique Lyonnais’s 68th season as a professional club. The club is owned by OL Groupe, with Jean-Michel Aulas as chairman and Bruno Génésio as manager. They played at Parc Olympique Lyonnais.

In Ligue 1, Lyon finished 3rd. In cup competitions, they reached the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France, the round of 16 in the Coupe de la Ligue, and the round of 16 in the UEFA Europa League.

The top scorer in the league was Memphis Depay with 19 goals, while Nabil Fekir was the club’s top scorer across all competitions with 23 goals. The highest home attendance was 57,582 for the match against Paris Saint-Germain on 21 January 2018, and the lowest was 26,972 against Apollon Limassol on 23 November 2017.

Lyon wore their home, away, and third kit colors during the season. In a Ligue 1 match at Angers, they wore the away kit from the 2015–16 season. Lyon released their third kit in late November 2017.
