2010 World Judo Championships – Women's 78 kg

The Women's 78 kg event at the 2010 World Judo Championships took place on September 9 at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan. Thirty-two competitors from 22 nations competed, split into four pools with the pool winners advancing to the medal rounds. Medalists were Kayla Harrison (USA) – her first world title; Mayra Aguiar (BRA); Akari Ogata (JPN); and Yang Xiuli (CHN).
