2005 Clásico RCN
2005 Clásico RCN: The 45th edition of Colombia’s classic cycling race ran from October 2 to 9, 2005. It covered about 1,006 kilometers over eight stages, finishing with an individual time trial in Manizales after starting in Cúcuta. Libardo Niño (COL) of Lotería de Boyacá won the overall title with a time of 27 hours, 17 minutes, and 40 seconds. Álvaro Sierra (COL) of Orbitel finished second, and Jairo Hernández (COL) of Orbitel finished third. Other winners included Jairo Salas (COL) of Coordinadora Sabaneta for the points classification, Mauricio Neiza (COL) of Orbitel for mountains, Camilo Gómez (COL) of Envía-Indeportes for the youth classification, and Libardo Niño also winning the combination classification. RCN stands for Radio Cadena Nacional.
