Micaria beaufortia is a ground-dwelling spider in the family Gnaphosidae. It lives in southern Africa, with records from Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Lesotho, and South Africa; in South Africa it is found in Free State, KwaZulu-Natal, Northern Cape, and Western Cape. The spider thrives in Grassland and Savanna habitats at elevations from about 322 to 1,552 meters above sea level. It is listed as Least Concern because it has a wide geographic range and is relatively common; recent surveys show it is abundant around Beaufort West and occurs in the Karoo National Park and Karoo Desert National Botanical Garden. It is protected in nine protected areas. Taxonomically, the species was first described by Tucker in 1923 as Epikurtomma beaufortia from Beaufort West and was later moved to the genus Micaria in 2017 by Marusik and Omelko.
