The 1999–2000 Pittsburgh Panthers men's basketball team represented the University of Pittsburgh in the 1999–2000 NCAA Division I season. They played in the Big East Conference and finished 13–15 overall, with a 5–11 record in the conference. The team was led by first-year head coach Ben Howland, with assistant coaches Jamie Dixon, Lennie Parham, and Pat Sandle all in their first seasons. Home games were held at Fitzgerald Field House, which has a capacity of 4,122. This season came after the 1998–99 season and before the 2000–01 season.
