John Joseph Ryba
John Joseph Ryba Jr. (August 10, 1929 – January 9, 2021) was an American politician from Wisconsin. A Democrat, he served in the Wisconsin State Assembly representing Green Bay from 1993 to 2003. Before that, he was on the Brown County Board of Supervisors and the Green Bay City Council from 1970 to 1993.
Ryba was born in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from Thomas Kelly High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War (1951–1953) and later stayed in the Army Reserve until 1961, retiring as a sergeant.
He died in De Pere, Wisconsin, and was buried at Fort Howard Memorial Park in Green Bay. He and his wife, Gertrude Styczynski, whom he married in 1954, had three children; he was survived by his wife, three children, seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
