1999 FIBA Americas Championship for Women
The 1999 FIBA Americas Championship for Women was the fifth regional basketball championship for women in the Americas, organized by FIBA Americas. It also served as the qualifier for the Americas for the 2000 Summer Olympics, with the top three teams earning Olympic berths.
The tournament was held in Havana, Cuba, from May 12 to May 17, 1999. Eight national teams competed. Cuba won the title, their second, by defeating Brazil in the final.
