Celtic's 1992–93 season saw them finish 3rd in the Scottish Premier Division. In cup competitions, they reached the 4th round of the Scottish Cup and were semi-finalists in the Scottish League Cup. In Europe, they were knocked out in the 2nd round of the UEFA Cup. The team was managed by Liam Brady until February 1993, when Joe Jordan took over, with Kevin Kelly as chairman. Home games were played at Celtic Park. The top scorer was Andy Payton, with 13 league goals and 15 in all competitions. Attendance at home games ranged from a high of 52,770 to a low of 10,151, averaging 22,683 for league matches.
