Final result: Monique Kiene and Miriam Oremans won the title, defeating Claudia Porwik and Raffaella Reggi-Concato 6–4, 6–2.
Defending champions: Manuela Maleeva-Fragnière and Raffaella Reggi-Concato. Maleeva-Fragnière did not compete this year. Reggi-Concato teamed with Porwik, and they reached the final but lost.
Notes: Kiene and Oremans were qualifiers. The draw had 16 teams with 4 seeded pairs.
