1984 Norwegian Second Division
1984 2. divisjon was Norway’s second-tier football league. It had 24 teams divided into two groups, A and B. The winners of each group, Mjøndalen and Brann, were promoted to the 1985 1. divisjon. The second-placed teams from groups A and B played a qualification round against the 10th-placed team in the 1. divisjon; the winner earned promotion to the 1. divisjon. Moss won this round and stayed in the top division. The bottom three teams in each group were relegated to the 3. divisjon: Brumunddal, Odd, Lyn, Mo, Varegg and Nessegutten.
