The 1982 Grampian Regional Council election was held on 6 May 1982 to fill all 54 seats, with each ward electing one councillor.

Result
- Conservatives: 28 seats (down 5)
- Labour: 15 seats (up 2)
- Alliance: 6 seats (up 4)
- SNP: 3 seats (up 1)
- Independents: 2 seats (down 1)

The Conservatives stayed in control of the 54-seat council, but with a slimmer majority (28 of 54).

Votes
- Conservative: 41,390 votes (40.4%)
- Labour: 27,940 votes (27.3%)
- Alliance: 17,359 votes (17.0%)
- SNP: 11,646 votes (11.4%)
- Independents: 3,967 votes (3.9%)

Swing since the last election
- Conservatives: about -2.7 percentage points
- Labour: about +1.2 points
- Alliance: about +12.0 points
- SNP: about +3.0 points
- Independents: about -4.6 points

The 54 single-member wards produced a result where the Conservatives maintained leadership, but with a reduced presence.
