WRRX is a radio station at 106.1 FM in Pensacola, Florida, serving Pensacola and nearby Gulf Breeze. It’s branded Magic 106.1 and plays urban adult contemporary music. The station is owned by Cumulus Media, with studios and transmitter in Pensacola. WRRX began in 2000 as WZRO with an active rock format called “Rock 106, Pensacola’s Real Rock,” then changed to WRRX. In 2004, WRRX switched to the urban adult contemporary format. It is one of two Gulf Coast urban AC stations owned by Cumulus, the other being WDLT-FM in Mobile. Its sister stations are WCOA and WJTQ.
