1945 Los Angeles mayoral election
The 1945 Los Angeles mayoral election was held on April 3, 1945. The incumbent mayor, Fletcher Bowron, was re-elected outright with a large majority in a nonpartisan race (party affiliations do not appear on the ballot).
Other candidates included Clifford Clinton, Ira J. McDonald, Sam Yorty, Roger Jessup, Anthony P. Entenza, and several minor contenders.

- Fletcher Bowron (incumbent): 146,323 votes, 53.91%
- Clifford Clinton: 51,071 votes, 18.82%
- Roger Jessup: 33,940 votes, 12.50%
- Ira J. McDonald: 12,674 votes, 4.67%
- Sam Yorty: 10,393 votes, 3.83%
- Anthony P. Entenza: 10,301 votes, 3.80%
- Others: smaller totals
- Total votes: 271,427
Bowron was the mayor before the election and won re-election.
