1944 United States Senate election in Washington

The election was held on November 7, 1944. The sitting Democrat, Homer Bone, resigned in April after being appointed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. The race to fill the seat was won by Democrat Warren Magnuson, who defeated Republican Harry Cain, the mayor of Tacoma.

A blanket primary had been held on July 11, 1944.

After the election, Governor Arthur B. Langlie appointed Magnuson to the vacant seat, and he took office on December 14, 1944. Cain would win election to Washington’s other Senate seat in 1946 and served alongside Magnuson from 1947 to 1953.

Election results:
- Warren Magnuson: 397,719 votes (55.13%)
- Harry Cain: 342,464 votes (44.44%)
