Parliamentary elections were held in Lithuania on June 10, 1936, after a new election law issued by the president. Nominations had to come from district or town councils. The number of candidates matched the number of seats, and the total seats were reduced from 85 to 49.

All political parties were banned except the Lithuanian Nationalist Union and its allies. The Nationalist Union won 42 seats, while Young Lithuania, the youth branch of the same movement, took the remaining 7 seats. A majority required 25 seats.

The newly elected Seimas first met on September 1, 1936, and drafted a new constitution, which was promulgated on February 11, 1938.

Prime Minister before and after the election was Juozas Tūbelis of the Lithuanian Nationalist Union.
