1928 Irish local elections
The 1928 Irish local elections were held from 23 June to 1 July 1928 across the Irish Free State, in all counties, cities and towns. They were conducted under the Local Elections Act 1927. This was the first local election in which Fianna Fáil contested. The main parties were Fianna Fáil, Cumann na nGaedheal, and the Farmers' Party, with Labour also taking part.
