1881 Swedish general election
Sweden's 1881 general elections elected the Second Chamber of the Riksdag for a three-year term. The Lantmanna Party remained the largest, with 101 of 206 seats. Direct elections were held in all 24 urban constituencies and in 78 of the 142 rural constituencies—six more than before. The remaining 64 rural constituencies used indirect elections by electors. Of about 4.6 million people, only 281,193 were eligible to vote (about 6%).
