1827 New Jersey gubernatorial election
The election was held on October 25, 1827. The governor was chosen by the New Jersey General Assembly, not by a popular vote. Incumbent Isaac Halstead Williamson, a Democratic-Republican, ran unopposed and was re-elected by the Assembly to his eleventh term. He was sworn in on October 25, 1827, keeping Democratic-Republican control of the governor’s office.
