Zingolo
Zingolo is both a Cadbury’s Dairy Milk UK TV ad from September 2009 and a song by Tinny released the same month. Cadbury’s started Glass and a Half Full Records to release the track as part of a campaign celebrating Ghana—its people, culture and cocoa beans. The ad features a one-minute edit of the song and shows Ghana with a “cocoa head”; it aired on TV and in cinemas. The song is credited to Tinny, though many musicians contributed. The full version runs 4:59, while the ad edit is 1:01. The song appears on Tinny’s album Big Swap. Glass and a Half Full Records was created after Cadbury’s moved to Fairtrade chocolate, and the Glass and a Half Full Productions campaign began in 2007 with the Gorilla advertisement. In Tinny’s discography, “Zingolo” appears in 2009, followed by “Pencil Full of Lead” (with Paolo Nutini) in 2010.
