Zhezkazgan Airport
Zhezkazgan Airport (IATA: DZN, ICAO: UAKD) is a public international airport serving Zhezqazghan in Kazakhstan’s Ulytau Region. It sits about 8 km southeast of the city at an elevation of 381 m (1,250 ft). The airport has one asphalt-concrete runway, 04/22, 2,600 m long, plus four unpaved runways. The pavement classification number is 37/R/B/X/T.

History and notes
- The current asphalt-concrete runway and new terminal were built in 1971–1973; the terminal opened in 1985 and could handle about 200 passengers per hour.
- The first flight of the new airport used an Ilyushin Il-18.
- In the 1970s, the Zhezkazgan United Air Squadron was formed; in 1983, L-410 planes began commercial use, and in 1995 two Mi-8 helicopters were added.
- Zhezkazgan Air airline was formed at the airport in October 1996.
- In 2004, the terminal and runway were rebuilt and upgraded with support from Kazakhmys Corporation.
- In 2008, the airport was declared international.
