Zebra analysis

Zebra analysis, or zebra striping, is a shading technique in computer graphics that helps visualize curvature on smooth surfaces. In CAD, it helps ensure surfaces meet smoothly. The effect mimics looking at an object in a tunnel lit by parallel lights, or at a perfectly reflective object in a room with striped walls. Zebra striping is available in many CAD and other programs, including Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Plasticity, and SolidWorks. It can be created as an environment map using radiating pie wedges as the texture source.
