Yugoslavia in the Eurovision Song Contest 1971
Yugoslavia took part in the Eurovision Song Contest 1971 with the song Tvoj dječak je tužan. It was sung by Krunoslav Slabinac, written by Zvonimir Golob and composed by Ivica Krajač. The entry was chosen by Jugovizija 1971 on 20 February at the Komunalni Center Hall in Domžale, SR Slovenia. Nine songs competed, from three regional broadcasters; RTV Sarajevo and RTV Belgrade did not submit entries. The winner was decided by 400 jurors: ten juries in five cities in each republic. Slabinac had previously placed 5th in the 1970 Yugoslav Final. The show was broadcast on TV Beograd, TV Ljubljana 1, TV Skopje and TV Zagreb. Slabinac performed 15th on the night, after Portugal and before Finland. Yugoslavia finished 14th with 58 points.
