La Statira
La Statira is an Italian opera seria in three acts by Tomaso Albinoni, with a libretto by Apostolo Zeno and Pietro Pariati. It premiered in 1726 at the Teatro Capranica in Rome during Carnival. The story follows the rivalry between Statira and Barsimo for the throne of Persia.
