Yosef Eliyahu Deutch
Yosef Eliyahu Deutch (Hebrew: יוסף אליהו דויטש) was a Jerusalem rabbi and philanthropist. He was born in Jerusalem in 1922 and died there in 1983. He was the son of Matisyahu Deutch, a Lelover Hasid and Jerusalemite, author of Divrei Matisyahu.
Deutch led the Anshei Mamad Yeshiva for Halacha and Kabbalah in Jerusalem, which is today headed by his son Shneur Deutch. His soup kitchens and other charitable works, known as Chasdei Yosef, are run by his son Moshe Deutch.
His eldest son, Chaim Shalom Deutch, is a prominent Chabad Hasid.
