Yohan Tavares (born 2 March 1988) is a French-born Portuguese footballer who plays as a centre-back for Stade Lavallois in Ligue 2. He spent most of his career in Portugal’s Primeira Liga, making 244 appearances and scoring five goals for Beira-Mar, Estoril, Vitória de Setúbal, Tondela and B-SAD. He has also played in Belgium (Standard Liège), Thailand (Bangkok United), Cyprus (APOEL) and France (Troyes). Born in Tours, France, Tavares represented Portugal at youth level, including one goal for the Portugal U23 team in 2011.
