Woodia verruculosa is a flowering plant that grows only in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands of South Africa. It is listed as Vulnerable on the SANBI Red List, meaning it is at risk of extinction. The plant lives in mistbelt forest and Ngongoni grassland at about 800 to 1000 meters above sea level, in areas from Howick to Ixopo. It has a very limited range and occurs in only about eight or nine locations, making it particularly vulnerable. It faces threats from invasive alien plants and the ongoing loss and degradation of its habitat due to farming and urban expansion. Protecting its remaining habitat is important for its survival.
