The Women's Irish Junior Cup is a knockout field hockey trophy for women's clubs in Ireland, run by the Irish Hockey Association. Entry is open to teams that do not qualify for the Women's Irish Senior Cup, and to the second teams of clubs that do compete in the Senior Cup. The competition began in 1909, and the winner receives the White Cup. Initially, it was run as regional tournaments—Leinster, Munster, Ulster, and a Connacht club—with the provincial winners advancing to the semi-finals. Finals were played over one weekend until 2000. When Northern Ireland's hockey unions merged with Ulster, Ulster representatives were decided by the McConnell Shield. In 2000 the format switched to an open draw. Records from the early years are incomplete.
