Wittmackia froesii

Wittmackia froesii is a plant in the bromeliad family (Bromeliaceae). It is a flowering monocot in the order Poales and belongs to the genus Wittmackia. The species name is froesii, so the full scientific name is Wittmackia froesii (L.B. Smith) Aguirre-Santoro. It has also been named Aechmea froesii (L.B. Smith) Leme & J.A. Siqueira and Aechmea lingulata var. froesii L.B.Sm. This bromeliad is endemic to Bahia, a state in eastern Brazil.
