Magnetoception is a 2015 studio album by Joshua Abrams, featuring members of his Natural Information Society. It was recorded in February 2013 at Attica Studios in Chicago and released in 2015 on vinyl as a double LP by Eremite Records (MTE-63/64). Abrams leads on guimbri and double bass, joined by electric guitarists Emmett Kelly and Jeff Parker, autoharpist Ben Boye, harmonium player Lisa Alvarado, and drummer Hamid Drake.

The music blends free jazz and minimalism, building slowly with contemplative space and a mix of modern and ancient instruments. Critics described it as patient, expansive, and hypnotic, with influences from jazz, rock, raga, and various world musics, yet its sound remains distinct. Some reviewers called it earth or spiritual music, known for engaging deep listening and lasting impact.

Magnetoception sits in the Natural Information Society chronology after Represencing (2012) and before Automaginary (2015).
